We are delighted to be opening the gardens up to volunteer this year – see below our list of days when you can come along and help with gardening and many other jobs to prepare for Summer Trifle. Days are free, of course, but you MUST register in advance by clicking the event day.

Planned roadworks may affect your journey if driving to Summer Trifle. There will be no access from either the Drusillas Roundabout or from Wilmington Crossroads, both on the A27. Details here: https://www.eastsussexhighways.com/roadworks. Plan your journey before setting off.

Come and wander round the gardens of Pickhams and enjoy a cup of tea and slice of cake. View the murals and mosaics in the walled garden and the art installations. View art in the gallery and marquees.
You are welcome to bring your own picnic this year as we will not be providing sandwiches. We will be selling cake and hot and cold drinks.

Join us for an evening of music and dance with the Curst Sons. Stomping Backwoods Americana in the field and marquee!
Please bring your own cup/tankard for the bar. There may be food available on the night – please check the website for details nearer the time.

Come and wander round the gardens of Pickhams. Listen to music in the garden from 12 while you enjoy your own posh picnic (BYO) in the garden or marquee.
We will be selling hot drinks and cakes and there will be a bar.
Tickets £2.50 (under 5’s free) for garden entry.
A ‘Pass the Hat’ event – please bring cash for contributions to the band.
Come along and help prepare the gardens for the annual Summer Trifle festival.
Bring your own gloves and any tools you have such as trowels, forks, rakes, but we’ll provide the rest.
Jobs can include clearing paths, weeding, planting, tending flower beds and pots, repair or maintenance of paths and walls, cleaning and painting iron work, trimming low branches, assembling marquees, assembling stage, making and putting up signs, helping to create art installations.
Bring your own picnic if you want to stay over lunch – tea and coffee provided.
